by Brian Torres January 30, 2021
written by Brian Torres

We know that greeting cards are widely used during the holiday season. But the application of greeting cards is not only limited for that! Greeting cards can also be used on special occasions such as birthdays, or when you want to express your sentiment.

If you have a plan to make greeting cards for the holiday season, a special occasion, or to express your sentiments, maybe you need to read some tips about making greeting cards beforehand. Some of the tips may help the making process easier, more effective, and minimize the risk of failure! So, here are a few of them!

1. About the Recipient

So, at this point, let’s talk a few tips relating to the recipients of your greeting card. You can check out some of the tips below!

  • The first tip, it is important for you to know who will be the recipient of your card. Why? Because this can help you to know what you are going to do with your greeting card. For instances, if you want to send it to your boss or maybe your grandparents, then you better make and write a message on the card formally. Especially when you want to make and give the card to your customers, knowing your audience is absolutely important! You can find out something they are interested in and make some adjustments to your card based on it!
  • The second tip, you need to make a list. Maybe, you don’t need to list who will be the recipient if you only want to send it to 3 or 5 people. But what if you own a business and want to send greeting cards to more than 40 customers? Then making a list would be better for you. But please note that you need to make sure all the names and addresses on your list are correct!

2. Design

Then we move on to talk about a few tips you may need when designing your greeting cards. Here are some of them!

  • If you want to make greeting cards for your customers, it is okay to add your company logo on the card! So, the card can be a medium to build your brand awareness too.
  • Do you want to include some word on the design? Then make sure you set the right font type and size so that everyone can read it easily.
  • Matching the colours to the occasion would be a great idea! For instance, you can use green, red, and white on your Christmas greeting card.

3. Printing

Here are a few tips about printing your greeting cards.

  • Print quality determines the result of your card. So, to get great results, it is recommended that you go to an experienced printing service to print greeting card.
  • Make sure you print extra cards! We never knew we missed a few people to be on our list.
  • Instead of ordering the card during peak season when the demand for greeting cards is high, then you better make the card early to minimize the risk of your card being late.

Pull Up Banner Designing Tips To Make It Outstanding

by Nathan Lee June 29, 2020
written by Nathan Lee

A pull up banner is a type of banner that is most commonly known for indoor uses. However, it is quite versatile that it can be used practically anywhere. It is best for seminars, exhibitions, conventions, and many more. As long as you can design it to fit the occasion, then it can be used there. Now, the word design is what we are emphasizing here. The design of a pull up banner is very important because it heavily affects the potential of the pull up banner itself. A pull up banner holds great advantages innately, mostly when it comes to convenience and versatility. However, to make it much better, you have to be able to design it well. If you wish to find out more you can visit www.professorprint.com.

1. Flow of Banner

You have to remember that people read from top to bottom and from left to right, or the opposite in certain places or countries. Now, this information is very important and useful especially if you are aiming to design an effective banner. The content of your banner must be put according to this banner flow so that the reader of your banner does not get confused when they are reading your banner, especially if the content of your banner is separated into separate paragraphs or boxes. People need to easily find the continuation of the end of their paragraph without having to circle around the design of the pull up banner. So, make sure that you create a layout that is simple and easy to understand according to the common eye flow of people.

2. Banner Color

Choosing bright color is one of the easiest way you can attract and make people think a certain way about you because colors can really trigger certain emotion and impression. Ideally, you should pick colors that are bright so that you can stand out among the crowd. You should also consider the combinations between colors; they need to work well with each other. Other than that, you also have to think about the contrast between the color of the background and the color of the text or font. They need to be in high contrast between each other so that they can be easily seen and read. For example, if you choose a light colored background, then you should pick dark color for the text.

3. Font

Choosing the right font is also important for a pull up banner design because it determines whether or not people will read the content of your banner. If you choose a font that is overly fancy, usually it will get difficult to read and people won’t like it. So it is highly preferable that you choose font that is straightforward and simple so that it will be more comfortable to be read. You can try to tweak it a little in certain parts of the banner, for example making certain sentences larger than the rest especially for the headline, and making it appear bold. This can add emphasize and attract people even from a distance.

Important Aspects to Consider Before You Buy an Easel Stand

by Brian Torres June 18, 2020
written by Brian Torres

Depending on your preferences and the medium that you use for painting, the best type of Singapore easel stand for you may vary. If you are not aware of the many types of easel stand, then this is the perfect time for you to get to know them and decide which one is the most suitable for your working style and also budget.

Medium

Some artists use oil based paints, some are water based. Of course, water based paints are runnier and the oil based paints are more viscous. The oil based paints are easier to handle, meanwhile, the water based paints are runny. If you are using runny paints, then you can’t choose an upright easel stand. Instead, you need one that can be angled so that the paint won’t come running down the canvas.

Working Space

The working space that you have is also a deciding factor. Some easel stand types are bulky and large, thus they need more space since they are also difficult to fold and store so you will have to let them be even when you are not using them.

Indoors vs Outdoors

Are you the type of artist who prefers to work indoors? Or maybe you like it better outside? If you like it better inside, then you can do well with an easel stand that is not very lightweight since you won’t have to move it around from places to places. But if you like to be mobile with your easel stand, then you definitely need one that is easy to handle and lightweight.

Those mentioned above are some of the important considerations before you get an easel stand.

There are various types of easel stands that you can choose, as you might have already known.

Most people choose to use the A frame easel stand or lyre easel stand because it is one of the most affordable and decent. It is not too heavy yet still sturdy enough for comfortable working. It supports quite a large canvas so you won’t really have to worry if you work with average sized canvases.

But if you work with larger canvases and require a sturdier easel stand, then consider getting an H frame easel. It is strong and sturdy, and of course, it is made from a material that is durable. Because of this, it is not so easy to fold or move. So for this type of easel stand, you have to have a spacious working place.

Or, if you are only starting out and needing a cheap yet okay easel stand, then consider a single mast easel stand. This type of easel stand is the one that is very often used by art students or beginners because it is simple, easy to transport, and definitely affordable.

For watercolor artists, don’t worry. There is the tabletop easel stand that can be adjustable to the angle you like whether you want it to be completely flat or a little raised. It is compact and just perfect for water based mediums.
